Organizations We SupportFor over 80 years the Auburn Host Lions Club has donated to countless worthy causes. We focus our donations primarily on efforts that benefit needs of the local community. The following list represents many of the recent organizations to which we have contributed as well as the international effort described below. Since 2001 the Auburn Host Lions has donated $3000 to the Vinh Son Montagnard Orphanage in the central highlands of Vietnam, not counting several thousand more by individuals in the club. Lions International has seen fit to recognize and honor the Auburn Host Lions with their International Relations Award, awarded by the International President. This effort was spearheaded by past president Pat McKee. Our club would love to see other Lions clubs become involved. If you would like to get involved with this effort, email Pat Mckee (mckeep@sbcglobal.net). Click on the image below to be taken to the VSO website where you can get a detailed overview of VSO and glimpse why our club has chosen to support its existence.
